Q: Its late…what do I eat?

A: 1st of all, quit eating so late, drink some water and go to bed! But if you have a food craving that you must satisfy, reach for that fresh fruit or yogurt in the fridge.

Q: When your body says “No” and your mind says “You know you need to do this”, how do you motivate yourself?

A: Is this a laugh out loud question or what? You know what to do; you get naked and stand in the mirror, step on the scale, or better yet try grabbing those jeans that you were able to fit last year but can’t seem to button up this year. You do what you have to do to get to where you want to be. It’s as simple as that. If you want it bad enough, you’ll get motivated!

Q: I’m stressed out and all I do is eat. What do I do?

A: Stop it…no questions asked…just stop! You have to figure out why it is that you eat the way that you do. If you eat when you are stressed, practice various breathing techniques and exercises that will help you to deal with the underlying issue, your stress. For me, the gym is my sanctuary. When I am mad, sad, or happy, I work out all of my emotions on a machine at the gym. Writing is also a good outlet. There are so many other things that you can do besides eat, and together we can find what works for you!
